Clean around every bracket
Brush above, below and over each bracket using small, gentle movements. An interdental brush can help clean beneath the wire and around areas a regular brush may miss.
Choose foods carefully
Cut firm foods into smaller pieces and avoid biting directly into very hard or sticky foods. This lowers the chance of bending a wire or loosening a bracket.
Keep your appointments
Adjustment and review visits allow your dentist to check movement, oral hygiene and the condition of the appliance. Contact the clinic if a wire is uncomfortable or a bracket becomes loose.
Protect the final result
When active treatment is complete, wear your retainer exactly as advised. Retainers help the teeth remain in their planned positions while the surrounding tissues settle.
