Tooth Extraction
A tooth may need removal when it is severely damaged, extensively infected, loose from gum disease or unable to be restored predictably. Extraction is recommended only after the condition and available alternatives have been assessed.
Before treatment, the dentist reviews your medical history and examines the tooth and surrounding structures. Local anaesthesia is used, and the procedure is planned to protect nearby teeth and tissues while keeping you as comfortable as possible.
Clear aftercare instructions support healing. These usually include protecting the blood clot, choosing soft food for a short period and keeping the area clean. Contact the clinic if pain, swelling or bleeding increases unexpectedly.
